Message I bought an Innovate LC-1 wideband 02 sensor and DB digital gauge. I am debating where I want to locate the 02 sensor. It has an output that simulates a narrowband 02 sensor, so I thought about just putting it in one of my downpipes. If I do that, I was wondering if I can cut the 02 sensor wire at the ECU and solder it in there? The FSM shows a wire that connects both 02 sensors to a long chain of sensors that all connect to the CAS. I just am concerned if I splice in at the ECU, I may have problems with this common connection seeing the signal.

If not, I debated putting it in my exhaust right before the muffler. I do not run cats and I have a single exit exhaust, so it would be getting the exhaust flow from both sides of the engine. My only puase here is that the harness is not long enough to reach the dash for grounding and power. I would need to extend the harness.

I chose these places because the downpipes are ready to accept the 02 sensor and the exhaust is mild steel which would be much easier to drill and weld in the 02 bung than my stainless steel downpipes and testpipes.

Another small question about SAFC II tuning. I plan to datalog runs in third gear for HI throttle tuning using A/F and time, stop the car and adjust, and repeat till I have a good A/F curve. To tune for LO throttle, am I able to make A/F adjustments on the fly? I was planning on letting someone drive in third gear at different RPM points at less than 20% throttle and adjust the SAFC while watching the wideband. This would obviously be without boost and get set more for better gas mileage than performance. Basically, are on the fly adjustments possible with the SAFC?

Thanks in advance for the help.
